Originally from Connecticut, David moved to Maine in 1993. After his session of summer stock theatre ended at the Down River Theater company in Machias, Maine, David decided to take a break from theater and focus on a career in barbering and cosmetology. He attended Pierre’s school of beauty and graduated in 1996. The rest, they say, is history. David purchased the barbershop that he was actively working at in 1996. After a few locations and a couple of reinventions, Tonic on Washington found its permanent home at 1208 Washington Ave. David prides himself on being a good listener and giving his clients recommendations for the perfect look, all while providing a professional, private, and relaxing session.
